Photography and Multimedia

While the core of my journalism experience lies in writing, I also understand the power of digital media, including photography, video and web page design. Here are some selected favorites:

Video — Beheading mystery in upscale community still confounds Georgia sheriff

Web page design — Election 2016

Created using WordPress and Visual Composer on Election Night; designed page layout, curated stories and photo galleries, embedded Storify feed, and led news coverage.

Web page design — Daily Free Press digital orientation issue

screen-shot-2016-12-12-at-12-30-03-pm

Created in June 2016 using WordPress and Visual Composer, as an annual “welcome” to campus for the incoming freshman class; designed page layout, created photo galleries, embedded maps, promoted our social media, and helped curate photos and graphics.

Most of my photographic experience has come from professional in-the-field experience and my Boston University classes, during which I got a solid overview of digital photographic technology, light, composure, color, and how to tell a story through visuals.

A day in Downtown Boston

I spent a day in Boston’s North End capturing life and leisure at Faneuil Hall and on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.

Exploring America and abroad

A collection of places I’ve been and things I’ve seen — on campus in Boston, at home in Atlanta, and abroad in Germany and Austria.
