Stories written for the AJC

As a local breaking news reporter, I mostly write stories related to crime, law, public safety and other miscellaneous news. I have led coverage of major emergency and weather events in Atlanta, and also gotten the chance to write some enterprise news features.

During a 2017 summer internship, I wrote for the AJC’s new Crime and Public Safety team, an endeavor that honed in on topics relating to readers’ daily lives and wellbeing. I wrote a mix of enterprise, spot news and breaking news, which provided a nice balance of short-term and long-term projects. I was heavily involved in building a Facebook group for the section, helping with the new Cold Case Files series and creating the AJC’s first-ever Homicide Tracker.
